Dr. Brian Sicher, D.P.M.
Dr. Brian Sicher specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of the foot. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and has extensive training in elective podiatric surgery. With a background as an educator, Dr. Sicher feels it is necessary to spend the extra time educating his patients about their foot problems, treatment, and long-term foot health.
Dr. Sicher has been in the Amarillo area since opening his practice, Sicher Foot Center, in 1997. He is recognized in the medical community as a leading provider of foot care in the Amarillo area. His extensive training has made him an expert in diabetic foot care. Many physicians refer their patients to Dr. Sicher because of his expertise and the excellent care he provides.
Dr. Sicher received his medical education at the University of Osteopathic Medicine in Iowa and his post graduate residency and podiatric surgical residency at John Peter Smith Hospital, in Texas, which is ranked as one of the top podiatric residencies in the nation.
Dr. Sicher stays up to date on the latest advances in foot care logging more than 100 hours of continuing education each year. When possible, he seeks alternatives to surgery for his patients while delivering on his goal to give each and every patient the best care in a compassionate, friendly environment.
Dr. Mark A. Gerig, DPM
Dr. Mark Gerig specializes in the surgical and medical treatment of the foot and ankle. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and has extensive training in the most current surgical evidence based treatments of the foot and ankle. He takes a conservative approach to treating patients, with surgery recommended as the last resort.
Dr. Gerig graduated from Midwestern University in Arizona and completed a 3 year surgical residency at Presbyterian/VA Hospital/Kaiser Foundation in Albuquerque, NM. This residency has added training for reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Gerig has lived most of his life in the West Texas/Eastern New Mexico region and is a graduate of Texas Tech University. He joined the successful practice of Sicher Foot Center in 2013 and has built a strong reputation in the healthcare community of West Texas and surrounding areas.
